WHY WEB3?

Have you Given this question a sincere thought?

Well, I have and I will tell you mine.

For many, there are a couple of reasons for taking up an interest in this Industry.

I chose this path because I saw a future here and it was something I wanted to do Full time.

Well, I started my journey in Web3 early 2021, a few months before the May crash happened.

My interest peaked initially after seeing a lot of Friends make

money from buying into #DeFi projects.

Then, as a Final Year student at University, I started thinking about what was next after school.

It was at that point where I was desiring Financial Freedom and I needed something that will help me achieve that so it appeared like a perfect opportunity for me to get my hands on.

I saved up and enrolled in a DeFi Academy to properly get a hang of it. Well, like almost every other Crypto noob out there, I was lucky to get into a couple of presales, so I made money from it but lost it all by not taking profits.

A huge percentage of the projects died an unnatural death of course.

I got burnt badly, experienced huge losses, almost in debt. I had to deal with it and was depressed and at my lowest, I needed to take a break from it all and just clear my head.

A few days later I was back, felt like an obsession but this time I wanted to figure out what happened with the decisions I made. I got really curious, asked a lot of questions, and did a lot of reading also.

Well, I guess curiosity is a good thing cos I found answers learned about market sentiments and so much more, and realized that Web3 was way bigger than just buying low and selling high.

My Web2 skills were transferable to Web3, it was then I got clarity and with the rate of adoption happening, projects are constantly looking for efficient Human Capital.

I took advantage of this and since it was still a downward market, it was the best opportunity for me so I decided to brush up my skills and be mentally prepared.

Just like I did, a lot of people make the mistake of seeing the Web3 Industry as just about Finance, the Blockchain technology has made a lot of things possible and can cover a lot of industries from real estate, healthcare, fashion, music, arts and so much more.

Web3 is about improving existing systems by utilizing Blockchain Technology.

The most exciting part for me so far has been learning more about how DeFi protocols operate and working in DeFi and NFT projects in different capacities ranging from an ambassador to writing great content and managing great Communities.

Right now, I’m currently learning Web3 Marketing with @ThirdAcademy_ super stoked about this.

I’m experimenting with a lot of ideas and learning Web3 Marketing is where my interest is now

Only a matter of time now before we begin to see the kind of adoption the space needs and I’m so privileged to be here at this time and I intend to be for as long as I can.

I choose Web3 because it gives me freedom and the opportunity to be whatever I chose to be.

TL:DR, My goal in Web3 is to make an impact and become a sought-after “Marketing and Brand Consultant”.

It’s okay to dream big, I know. Currently, I’m searching for opportunities that will challenge me to learn and grow in that capacity.

I also write great content on the side.
